Moving back to the Sacramento area helped me rediscover the great parks and rivers of the area. Sacramento has so many wonderful trees that I love painting. I try to paint different subjects but I'm always drawn back to the trees.
I love the scenes that we pass every day and hardly notice. My favorite mediums are water color, acrylic and oil pastel.
In 1998, I began working in the Artist in Schools Program of Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission. I have competed 6 murals at Garfield School and several other murals with the young artists in Sacramento. Currently, I am retired after 10 years as the Program Director of Women's Wisdom ART, a community arts organization that helps women who have experienced trauma.
